Central Command Area of Responsibility (Mar. 27, 2003) -- Personnel from the attack submarine USS Toledo (SSN 769) stand by to receive supplies from the guided missile destroyer USS Donald Cook (DDG 75). The submarine was among the first boats to launch Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles (TLAM) in the liberation of Iraq. Toledo is one of the many warships in the Central Command's area of responsibility deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Operation Iraqi Freedom is the multi-national coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq's weapons of mass destruction, and end the regime of Saddam Hussein.
